Extrahepatic Portal Vein Obstruction (EHPVO) is a common cause of variceal bleeding in children and young adults in India. Management with endoscopic means provide temporary palliation. Proximal Splenorenal Shunt (PSRS) is definitive and provides long term control of variceal bleed.
