ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Lab Management System Effectiveness Verification by Using Quantitative Approach

Yousaf Ayub1*, Zahid Anwar2, Zahid Abbas Shah3

ISO/IEC 17025 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories” (ISO, 2017) is focused on both management and technical requirement of laboratories. Its accreditation is mandatory is many countries due to its regulatory requirement. From last 2-3 years, accreditation of ISO/IEC 17025 becomes obligatory in some sectors of Pakistan (pesticides, electricity transmission etc.).

Non-conformities against ISO/IEC 17025:2017 in Pakistani labs: A study based on Auditing Body Reports

1Yousaf Ayub*, 2Zahid Anwar, 3Zahid Abbas Shah, 4Muhammad Mudassar Sharif

ISO/IEC 17025:2017 deals with the “General requirements for the competence, impartiality and consistent operation of testing and calibration laboratories” (Standardization, Publications and products, 2017) by focusing on both management and technical requirements of laboratories. Management requirements relate to lab operations, auditing, and management review etc. while technical related to testing activities and handling of lab technical resources. Purpose of this article to present the significant non-conformities that testing/calibration labs face during ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation process.

Analysis of Basic Fitness Parameters for Females at Workplace

Siddhi Jadhav*, Nirmity Bomidwar, Prof. Anand Umrani, Prof. Dr. Varsha Karandikar

This research analysis focuses on the varying task effects on physiological factors and cognitive response on female subjects. These varying tasks affects i.e. heart rate and blood pressure as well as cognitive performance are taken to check the physical and mental at workplace for job allocation. A sample size of 30 female workers has been taken. Their blood pressure and heart rate were checked at 5 different times like at rest, after walking, 10mins after walking, after climbing 3 floors, 10mins after climbing. Immediately after takings these readings a Stroop test was conducted immediately after activity to find the cognitive response time in seconds.

Evaluation of MEMS Used in Manufacturing Areas of the Aerospace Industry of Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico

Margarita Gil Samaniego Ramos1*, Juan Ceballos Corral1, Arturo Sinué Ontiveros Zepeda1, Ismael Mendoza Muñoz1, Mildrend Ivett Montoya Reyes1, Olivia Yessenia Vargas Bernal1

MEMS (Micro Electromechanical Systems) are low-power micro devices widely used in the industrial processes of the Mexicali aerospace industry, which have the function of controlling the operation of industrial systems at any stage of manufacturing by evaluating the way to carry out their activities, comparing standardized values â??â??with data real and activate and deactivate high power actuator mechanisms such as fans, motors, electric pumps and other high power used in this installed industry. These micro devices have specific characteristics in their operation to obtain the best operational performance of industrial equipment and machines, at a low cost and partially operating according to the operating system reference values â??â??of industrial systems and generating a safe process in their operation. The industrial processes of the Mexicali aerospace industry requires specialized knowledge because they manufacture components with very rigid operations because they are manufactured for aircraft with very rigorous regulations, due to the high security that air transport requires. MEMS have increased their use in the last ten years, where it has been applied to various industries due to the simple way of coupling with industrial systems, and this is why research was conducted to evaluate its use in a company in this city that they did not intend to use them and when observing that they increased their productive performance at one stage of their industrial processes, they chose to apply them in all their manufacturing areas. The investigation was from 2018 to 2019.

Tool Life And Tool Wear For CBN And Alumina Based Ceramic Tools

Rishi sharma

In present times there are still many issues in the field of micro-machining for materials which are hard to machine like short tool life and rapid tool wear of the machining tools. Considering titanium alloy TI-6AL-4V in study some standard procedures and conditions were followed which were ISO standard in life testing for milling and in turn it was used to predict tool wear of tungsten carbide for micro end milling and groove milling. Some factors like cutting-edge radius, tool volumetric change and Flank wear rate determines the tool wear.
