Eficacia inconsistente de la dieta baja en proteínas para la nefropatía diabética

Se ha debatido mucho sobre la restricción proteica en la nefropatía diabética. Durante mucho tiempo, la dieta adecuada fue una dieta baja en proteínas. Después de eso, la Asociación Estadounidense de Diabetes (ADA) revisó las recomendaciones nutricionales (ADA2013), en las que negó la eficacia de una dieta restringida en proteínas. Por el contrario, la Asociación Japonesa de Diabetes (JDA) ha recomendado parcialmente una dieta baja en proteínas en las Guías Clínicas de ERC de 2013 y 2018 (CKD2018). Se evaluarían varios factores relacionados, como la ingesta de proteínas en la dieta (DPI), el resultado renal, el estado nutricional, el Índice de Riesgo Nutricional Geriátrico (TNRI), la tasa de disminución de la TFGe por año y varios límites reales de proteínas por día (0,3-0,4-0,6 g/kg). Será necesaria una mayor investigación y la acumulación de datos de investigación.
